Ogun state Police arrested a 23- year-old lady, Mary Olatayo for selling her three weeks old baby for six hundred thousand naira in Ogun.

The father reported the situation at the Mowe divisional headquarter and revealed in his statement that the lady suddenly disappeared with the baby after three weeks of delivery and later he found out she went to a hotel to hook up with another man.

Mrs Olatayo was arrested by the police after the father of the baby reported the situation to the Mowe divisional headquarter.

On Interrogating Olatayo, she confessed to have sold the baby to someone in Anambra state for six hundred thousand naira but it was her friend , Chioma Esther Ogbonna who led her to the buyer in Anambra state.

The state commissioner of police (CP) lanre bankole transferred the case to anti human trafficking and child labor unit of the state criminal investigation department (SCIID) for more investigation.

The CP ensured us that the baby will be recovered at all cost.
